A debate we had in sociology refering to why it is acceptable to ’sing’ about murder and rape and make vast fortunes off it, while brainwashing kids into thinking its acceptable*. But bands like, say. Skrewdriver, or Final war are shunned for having a white supremacist message, and as such are never heard in mainstream media. Yet lyrics such as
"To all my Universal Soldier’s: stay at attention while I strategize an invasion; the mission be assassination, snipers hitting Caucasians with semi-automatic shots"
is perfectly acceptable.
I guess the question is why is it acceptable for one, but not the other.
*There was a study which showed that the more kids were exposed to this message, the less they thought it was wrong.
Unless you are assuming that I hijacked a debate in college to spout white supremacist vitriol, you are mistaken. I dont wish to have my views reinforced. I just want to hear what other peoples thoughts on the matter are.
And furthermore please dont imply that I am a white supremacist, I find the ideology really offensive, and the notion that people think I am, even worse.
50% of all scientific studies are wrong. Everybody who answered "acceptable" were just like me when I was answering these surveys in school…lying and trying to sound like a wisea$$ more and more with every question.

It isn’t "perfectly acceptable." Plenty of people are offended by lyrics like that and they choose not to listen to that type of music. Rather than waste time and energy trying to have it banned or kept off the air, they simply change the station.

you are the biggest, most annoying type of internet douchebag. you say some vastly generalized, incorrect statement that ignores all tenets of american culture and then proceed to insult the country based on your incorrect assumptions about it, or else attack it for not living up to the stereotypes that you assign it.
THINK FOR YOURSELF. quit just reading things that you see people post online and repeating them. this will only make you a repetitive, unneeded, replaceable figure in the vast scheme of things. one day you will fade into obscurity and all that anyone will ever know about you is that you were the puppet of a subculture of smug ignorance. be productive, have an original thought. don’t just mindlessly propagate the most basic, clouded messages available to you. some things you should do, not because they are easy, but because they challenge your open-mindedness.
america does not believe anything. it is the most polarized mainstream country in the world, and it revolves around a culture of making people believe that they have to take some side of every issue. this fact alone negates your entire presupposition to what america is. GAH.

I like to consider myself as a white supremacist (im very respectful though). i dont openly hate on minorities but i dont necessarily like them. But i think when lyrics are about killiing others based on race is very wrong.

My goodness! I didn’t believe that was an actual lyric till I googled it (sorry Yahoo) that is disgusting! I don’t see why it is acceptable for things like that to be spread on the airwaves while equally offensive material is banned (That final war group you mentioned is crazy racist)
Im gonna play devils advocate here and look at it from the perspective of free speech and what not but if that is the case why not for the equally disgusting white supremacist bands.
But seriously? A virtual call out for black on caucasian violence and this poor girl points out the sheer wrongness with it and you lable her a white supremacist and patronize her by just throwing ad homiem insults around instead of answering.
